Analogies is comprised of four movements based on the structures of, and perspectives on, the Eiffel Tower. Like Sixteen Jackies, the pitch and rhythm content was composed algorithmically.

Pulse 5 is the result of a decision to follow through compositionally one of the repeating musical figures that I often I find running through my head when I wake up in the morning.

Sixteen Jackies

(for flute, clarinet, & violin, 2000)

Sixteen Jackies is based on a painting of the same name by Andy Warhol. It is comprised of sixteen movements, most of which are sixteen seconds long. Other aspcts of the painting, such as color and mood, were also incorporated into the music. The pitch and rhythm content was composed algorithmically.
